Today is a good day to be a monthly pledger to the Confyde Bandcamp, because you lovely folks are getting your fourth exclusive album! :)

"Forfeiting Peace" gets part of its name from a lyric in the upcoming heavy-as-balls single "Scalper" - of which you can find the demo version on this album.

It also contains demoes of other songs that could be potential singles, as well as the audio taken from songs that could only previously be heard on YouTube, such as my Opethian cover of "Something in the Way". On the whole it's a very jarring journey between very dark, heavy tracks and acoustic fingersyle subtlety.

But in my opinion the most important track is the demo of "Hxppy Nxw Yxxr". Heavily inspired by the incredible viral song "Hi Ren", this is probably the most intensely personal piece I've ever written. After years of releasing of socially conscious & politically driven material it's been therapeutic to look inward at my own heart and let out some of the demons I've been struggling with. It will almost certainly be a future single and music video.

For those who already pledge, I really hope you enjoy it - thank you so much for all your contributions to help make this whole Confyde journey that little bit easier. The mix, master and artwork for "Scalper" was paid up entirely from the Bandcamp funds!
